MENTORING FOR YOUTH ENTREPRENEURSHIP SUPPORT (BONUS LT-LV), NO: LLI-147

On 31 st of August 2018 the project activities were accomplished.

The overall objective of the project is to foster entrepreneurship and youth businesses creation in the Lithuania and Latvia border region. The general aim is to show the border region youth that Business can be simple if you have an idea, a good team for idea development, some support from professionals/mentors, and general knowledge on business processes.

“BONUS LT_LV” project oriented on youth entrepreneurship problems:

  1. Young people have neither initial financial nor social capital;
  2. Young people are not confident and they lack experience of business development,
  3. Young people are afraid of failure; they lack idea development methods and good examples, which could stimulate to start business.

Main results of the project were achieved: mentoring activities for youth organized, mentors‘ network created, teaching material prepared, “BONUS LT-LV” model for business support services implementation and entrepreneurship promotion established, IT based creative business support e-infrastructure designed.

Active partnership of project beneficiaries (Kaunas university of technology, Daugavpils University and PI „PVC“) and social partners (schools, business companies, business support institutions) proceeded during all project implementation period especially during the mentoring activities in the Innovators competition and Young entrepreneur competitions.

Project is based on active business inclusion in to the mentoring and entrepreneurship development. It is believed that project results (especially “Bonus LT-LV” model) will create a new approach on public services oriented on business support in border region.

Total projects size is 523 818, 29 EUR. Out of them co-funding of European Regional Development Fund is 445 245, 53 EUR.
